Selected Poems

London: William Heinemann, 1923. First English Edition; identical in content with the American edition. Very good in a shabby, split dust jacket; in a clamshell box. With the ownership signature of Cornelius Weygandt dated IV-6-1923; he has also annotated the contents with notations on the volumes in which the poems first appeared. Opposite the first page of text, Frost has written out a 16 line poem, titled in his hand “Unnoticed” and initialed at the end, “R.F.” The poem first saw print in the Saturday Review, March 28, 1925 and was collected as “On Going Unnoticed” in West-Running Brook (1928). The recipient, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, was an early supporter of Frost, visiting the Frost family in New Hampshire. Weygandt’s book on the area, The White Hills, remains highly regarded.
