[Book #1971] Bleak House. CHARLES DICKENS.

Bleak House

London: Bradbury & Evans, 1853. First Edition; original cloth. Front hinge weak; back hinge split; some cloth fraying and a little chipping at the extremities; some foxing; overall a very good copy. Haycraft-Queen cornerstone. Dickens’ complex novel of the law. If any lawyer hasn’t referred to it themselves (or the seemingly endless case with which it’s concerned: Jarndyce v. Jarndyce), they’ve heard of it often enough to be familiar with it anyway. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
