Contemporary owner’s inscription; light foxing; a fine copy in the rare dust jacket, which has scrapes on the front panel and spine from removed labels, numerous small chips and tears; very good. Only 250 copies were issued. Williamson enjoyed a long career and is best remembered for his nature writing. His sympathy for fascism tarnished his reputation in later years. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
