Publisher’s printed stiff wrappers; featuring three new songs from the 1938 RKO musical, along with 25 older songs, each with a reproduction of its sheet music cover. Presentation copy, inscribed by Berlin to a Hollywood publicist and reviewer, “To Jerry [Hoffman] who saw all the possibilities long before the cheering. For you always, Irving Berlin.” Aside from a tiny spot on the preliminary leaves, very good. One page prints scenes from the film, opposite which the production staff and crew are listed in print. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
