FLAGG, JAMES MONTGOMERY

Inscribed Portrait Photograph

Undated; ca. 1920. Approximately 8 3/4 wide x 11 1/2” tall; framed and glazed. Inscribed by the subject in the lower margin, “To Aunt Edith from Monty.” Very slight foxing and marginal browning; excellent condition. An attractive portrait: Flagg, in a three-piece suit, holds the jacket open with his left hand, a cigarette in his right. It would be a daring portrait nowadays that pictured the subject smoking. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
