Front hinge mended; rear hing splitting; minor cloth wear; overall, a sound, very good, clean copy; ein a clamshell box, paired with a near fine copy (bookplate on the front paste-down) of the first edition in the second issue binding, published the following year, with the Griffith, Farran imprint at the foot of the spine. While his eponymous original publishing house was absorbed by another firm, Blackett remained in the industry for several years.
