New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1934. First Edition. As usual, the cloth is mottled; very good or a bit better in a creased, splitting dust jacket; spine slightly faded. This example is in green, without blurbs on the front panel. There are four variants: in red and green and with and without blurbs. The usual wisdom suggests that jackets lacking blurbs precede those which feature them. In this case, however, the text was printed a month earlier in a magazine, so that these promotional snippets were already available when this book was issued. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
