New York: Simon and Schuster, 1941 or 1942. Later printing. A few pages a little wrinkled; very good. Inscribed at length on the dedication page by Davies, who has also signed on the front endpaper, under which seven members of the cast have signed, noting the parts they played. Most prominently are those of Walter Huston, Eleanor Parker and Oscar Homolka. Produced in 1943, the film is openly propaganda, but the Soviets were allies at the time, and it was the middle of a war in which the outcome was not yet a given. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
