New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1934. First Edition of the author’s first novel; a Haycraft-Queen cornerstone. Very minor offsetting (browning) on the endpapers, closed tear in the back panel, else fine. The cloth is exceptionally bright; in a very good dust jacket with some browning and tiny chips. Few novels have been as well-served by a cinema adaptation as this book was by the 1946 film.
