New York: The 6 x 9 Press, 1957. First Edition of what is apparently the first book by this important graphic designer and illustrator, produced while still a student at Cooper Union. Chwast was one of the founders of Push Pin Studios, and the influence of Chwast and his contemporaries was profound. There are nine full page, hand-colored linocuts, each preceded by printed quotations, largely pacifist in nature. The oblong book is hand-bound with a cloth spine and decorative paper-covered boards with a printed title label. An excellent copy with only very slight binding wear.
