Presentation copy; inscribed by the author, “To John & Best wishes for 1957 [words in Gaelic] Brendan Behan/ 1/1/57.” We have not seen another inscribed copy of this play. A fine, modest, earnest film version was released in 1962, starring Patrick McGoohan.
