Dublin: Gerrard Bros. 1901. First Edition of Joyce's first appearance in a book and second appearance in print: an attack on the Irish Literary Theatre. A fine copy in a custom quarter-morocco slipcase. This piece, along with Skeffington's, which advocated equal University status for women, was rejected by University College's school magazine. The authors paid two pounds and five shillings to have 85 copies of the booklet printed by a local stationer's shop. Now very scarce, it would be unobtainable if not for a small cache apparently unearthed some decades ago, but now absorbed into the market and collections.
