A Boy's Will

New York: Henry Holt, 1916. First American Edition; second (corrected) state of page 14; minute rubbing; fine. Inscribed by the author, “For Lincoln Colcord from Robert Frost, his friend and sixth cousin once removed. February 24 1916.” Frost’s paternal grandfather was a Colcord and his great-uncle Elihu Colcord assisted Frost in purchasing his Derry, New Hampshire farm, although later their relationship apparently turned sour. At the time of this inscription, Frost was shivering in Franconia, New Hampshire, far north in the White Mountains.
