Probably from the middle to later fifties; approximately 4 x 5”; inscribed “Michael, Best, Ray.” In excellent condition. The recipient was Michael Gilbert, fellow mystery writer and Chandler’s London attorney. While Chandler’s inscribed books and signed letters have always been uncommon, signed photographs are, and always have been, especially scarce.
