One sheet, approximately 4 x 7”; written on recto and verso. Likely a fair copy, but apparently contemporary, written for his sister Caroline. The first line is always sung by the old bowman, and the rest come in like a pack of wolves.” Followed by four verses, each seven lines, with the author’s notation at the end, “How’s that?” With a signed letter from Doyle’s niece noting that “This copy of ‘The Song of the Bowman’ was written out by my Uncle, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, for his sister, Caroline Doyle.”.
