Contemporary boards with a newer cloth spine and paper label; hinges repaired; page 119/120 archivally mended and mounted between tissue; some foxing and page spotting; very good. With the folding frontispiece of a view of the ship exterior and diagrams of two decks. This former ship-of-the-line was converted into a warehouse and finally a prison ship anchored on the East River. Dring was captured and held for several months of 1782 in dreadful conditions.
