Tiny puncture at the edge of the front cover extending through the first few leaves; spine faded; very good. The publisher quickly sold out the first printing and produced this second one before going into bankruptcy. These plates enjoyed a longer life than that of the original owner, and were used in many unauthorized printings until their eventual purchase and retirement by Whitman’s estate.
